Yes, Iowa is on the (skating) map...it's between the states of Illinois and Nebraska and below the state of Minnesota and above the state of Missouri.
It is known as the corn state but we grow more than just corn. Yes, it gets pretty cold up here but that's when we enjoy skating the most. We have a diverse group of skating members from all over! Our group name is The 319 Rollers and the group is made up of skaters from Illinois, Mississippi, Minnesota, New York, Iowa...etc. We got started all with one woman's dream, Ms Melodye...she travels all over to skating events and has introduced this activity to Waterloo, Iowa once again. Skating seemed obsolete for a period but....WE'RE BACK! and we're working to get better. It's very comforting to know there are folks out there like yourselves to help us put it all together. Thanks a million Skatemasters USA!
We are looking to do a local event coming up in mid September...Roll back to 70's and 80's. We are working to draw the interest of our 30 and over skaters with this type of event....we hope to see everyone there!
